Getting ready for a photography session is lots of work. You need to plan ahead. Usually it involves shopping, scheduling around everyone’s work and school, nap times, packing snacks, extra clothes in case of an accident and many many more details that all add up to a one stressed out mom. Hair and makeup are not a top priority for moms, because they start planning beginning with children and their husbands ( just a nature of being a mom and putting yourself last). We completely understand and sympathize. We are moms too and have our sessions scheduled occasionally.
Good news is we are here to help in every way we can. We have tons of inspiration boards on pinterest to help you shop and color co-ordinate. Julie is always trying to figure your family’s schedule so everyone can come. We also offer full hair and makeup services. All you have to do is arrive approx. 90 min before your session and your hair and makeup will be done at the studio. For newborn sessions you can get this process done while I work with your baby.
This is Sierra. Sierra visited NYC with her mom and her friend for short few days. She scheduled her maternity session here to get beautiful NYC skyline backgrounds. She also requested something holiday-ish for her shoot. We made is as easy as possible for her – we knew she’d be tired for the flight the day before. We provided full service including clothing, hair makeup and transportation for her and her family. The makeup artist did an amazing job. Sierra became anemic during her pregnancy ( very common unfortunately). She needed a little help getting the under eye area brightened. See the results! Beautiful mommy 34 weeks pregnant Sierra.
Eugene and Daisy are one of those people who enter and immediately light up the room. They are a newly married couple, who welcomed their first son Quin just few weeks ago. The magic between them can be felt without words.
They are a match made in heaven both personally and professionally. Daisy is a celebrity make-up artist who has been working exclusively with Martha Stewart for the past 8 years. Eugene is a Manhattan based, in-demand hair stylist.
We had wonderful time with this family. Quinn is a squishy, little munchkin who slept the entire time. We chatted the entire session, touching on NYC’s social life, medical care in hospitals and special circumstances after the delivery. Daisy also shared with us, that her wedding is currently featured in “Real Weddings and Honeymoon”, on stands now. Of course I ran to get it and see – it looks absolutely divine and elegant. Congratulations!
Celebrating newly married Daisy and Eugene we introduce baby Quinn.
Lan and Eric are returning family. We first met after birth of their first son Eli. 2 years later they are back with their newest member of the family Chloe. As usual with toddlers under the age of 3 we prepare few different scenarios for sibling shot. It’s not uncommon for a small child to be overwhelmed by photo shoot at the studio. It is a new environment with new textures, light effects and laying next to a new baby might be too much by itself for most children. Eli was a rockstar! He was a little shy in the beginning but Eric openly asked me to move away from the set for few minutes, to give Eli some place to accommodate. It worked like a charm and I was very impressed by dad’s great communication regarding. We were up and taking pictures shortly after the initial setup. Eli did amazing as did little peanut Chloe. We also had both sets of grandparents to photograph and it was a great family experience.
